ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
We are fully committed to minimising the environmental impact of our products, services, and operations. Our focus is on transitioning to a low-carbon economy, and we are making rapid progress with our reusable components and sustainable practices.
To achieve these goals, we have already implemented several measures:
- We optimize the transportation process by utilising the full capacity of available transport at every stage of manufacturing. This reduces the number of trips between facilities and warehouses, leading to fewer emissions per product.
- All used cardboard is carefully recycled, ensuring that it doesn't end up in landfills.
- We prioritise employing local staff for our office and warehouse operations. We also encourage telecommuting whenever possible and promote the use of public transportation among our employees.
- When feasible, we employ region-specific Rapid Ramp fitters to minimise emissions from long car journeys, ensuring a more sustainable installation process.
- Our modular Rapid Ramp and steps are designed to be 100% recyclable and reusable. This approach reduces waste and maximises the lifespan of our products.
- To minimise carbon emissions associated with transportation, we stock all Rapid Ramp components in our UK warehouse and manufacture them locally instead of sourcing them overseas.
- In cases where components are damaged and cannot be included in our reconditioned rotations, we ensure their responsible disposal by recycling. The materials are melted down and repurposed for other items, reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency.
- Our access systems are accompanied by an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) that has been verified by a third party. The document serves as a transparent communication tool, providing comprehensive information about the environmental performance and impact of our ramps and steps throughout their entire lifecycle.
Through these measures, we are actively working towards reducing our ecological footprint and playing our part in building a more sustainable future.
